Keizer Logworks builds all log shells with features that not only add to the beauty, but also help to simplify the framing and finishing of your log home.
- Built using large diameter (16 inch average mid span) Sitka spruce logs.
- Overscribed lateral grooves to ensure a tight fit during shrinkage and settling.
- Insulation in all notches and lateral grooves.
- Window and door openings cut to size with edges beveled, sanded, and notched to accept trim.
- Keyways are cut in door and window openings to accept spline.
- Log walls are drilled for thru- bolts and electrical wiring.
- Logs are mortised to accept electrical boxes where applicable.
- All log ends cut and sanded.
- Roof system members cut at appropriate angles to accept framing.
